If you’re like me, you miss the days of 100 Broken Windows-era Idlewild.
A lot.
Few bands manage to marry the lyrical intellect and indie guitar brawn of that record with an energy and intensity far more “punk” than those Scots did.
So it’s with great excited that I heard Rod Jones (Idlewild guitarist) had a new band he’s been playing with while Roddy gets in touch with his inner protest singer (call me when you’re done, OK Roddy?).
The result? Sounds like old Idlewild.
